Star Theatre started out as the Starr Moving Picture and was located at 204 E. Houston in 1909. In 1910 it changed its name to Star Theatre and moved down the block a couple of spaces to 226 E. Houston. In 1913 the theatre was managed by Carl Weyler and in 1915 C. E. Morris was also involved. I don't have a final date for the theatre however, it would not last past 1929, because of the development of the Majestic Theatre on that block.
As the Starr Moving Picture it would have been a nickelodeon, but as it moved to Star Theatre it would have become a silent theatre.
